The first international scientific conference of the Department of Tropical Medicine and Gastroenterology kicked off today corresponding to 2nd Feb. 2017 at Movenpick Hotel, under the supervision of Prof Ihab Fawzi Abdo, the department supervisor and the conference chairman, in the presence of Prof. Abdel Qader Mohamed Abdel Qader, acting president of Aswan university, Prof. Mansour Muhammad Kabbash, honorary president of the conference, Prof. Hussein Al Sharif, dean of the faculty of medicine, Mr. Abdel Nasser Mohamed, Aswan governorate secretary general, on behalf of Maj. Gen. Magdi Hegazy, Aswan governor, as well as Prof. Hubert Blume, professor at the university of Freiburg. The conference introduced many scientific sessions in the presence of a large group of professors from Egyptian universities, which numbered 9 in addition to the National Liver Institute, the Institute of Oncology Research in Cairo, the University of Freiburg, Germany, as well as doctors from Aswan and other different governorates.
