About Aswan University Hospitals
Aswan University Hospital is the only hospital in the Aswan Governorate that serves patients from all of the governorate centers and other governorates. After being converted into a university hospital, the number of departments rose from eight (8) clinical departments to twenty-four departments in all specialties that did not exist previously. Instead of moving patients to Assiut or Cairo Governorates, care in Aswan became standard, according to ambulance service statistics, with a transfer rate of less than 5%.
Efforts are currently being made to complete the development of the departments that have not yet been developed (reception, emergency, and orthopedics), as work is underway to develop them after giving the necessary credits and gaining clearance from the university’s construction committee. The university hospital’s mission is not confined to treating visitors; it also operates medical convoys that travel across the governorate and surrounding cities.
