Quality Assurance Unit

Vision:

That the Quality Assurance Unit at the Faculty of Medicine, Aswan, become an active center for spreading the thought of quality and occupies a prominent position among all quality assurance units in higher education institutions at the national and regional levels.

Mission:

The Quality Assurance Unit at the Faculty of Medicine – Aswan University aims to spread awareness of the culture of quality among faculty members and their assistants, students, and administrators, and to establish a total quality system in the faculty.

Objectives and Goals :

First goal:

Developing the institutional capacity of the Faculty of Medicine, Aswan University, as one of the distinguished scientific centers in the field of university education.

Strategic goals:

-Updating and following up on the implementation of the faculty’s strategic plan.
-Developing the organizational structure and administrative aspects of the faculty.
-Commitment to professional ethics, fair practices, and non-discrimination.
-Developing the capabilities of academics, upgrading the level of performance, and setting approved policies for improvement and promotion in the faculty.

Second goal:

Preparing distinguished cadres (graduates) in terms of knowledge, skills, and professionals in the field of human medicine for the local, regional and international labor market.

Strategic goals:

-Developing educational programs and courses for undergraduate and graduate students to comply with NARS National Academic Standards.


-Improving the resources available for teaching and learning, as well as improving teaching and assessment methods for students.


-Increasing the effectiveness of the student support system and improving graduate services, while adopting a continuing medical education program for them.


Third goal:

Raising the efficiency and effectiveness of the faculty as one of the distinguished research centers in the field of human medicine.

Strategic goals:

-Developing the scientific research system in the faculty.

Fourth goal:

-Increasing the faculty’s ability to contribute to sustainable development, community service, and the environment.

Strategic goals:

-Improving the effectiveness of the faculty’s role in community service and providing high-quality patient care by maximizing the use of joint resources between the Faculty of Medicine and the University Hospitals.
