The Faculty of Medicine, Aswan University, organized on Tuesday corresponding to 28/2/2023 the events of the graduation day celebrating on the graduation of the eighth batch whose number achieves 93 graduates from the doctors of the Faculty of Medicine; which is held under the patronage of Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman-Aswan University President, in the attendance of General Major/Ashraf Attia-Aswan Governorate, Prof. Mansour Kabbash-Syndicator of Doctors in Aswan and the former of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Loay Saad El-Din Nusrat – Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Mohamed Abdelaziz Mohalel – Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research and Prof. Mohamed Zaki Al-Dahshoury – Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Aswan University Hospitals, under the supervision of Prof. Mostafa Adam Al-Tiri – Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Mohamed Mostafa Hussein – Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research Affairs, Dr. Ashraf Ma’bad – Executive Director of Aswan University Hospitals, and Prof. Essam Abul Magd – Director of the Surgery Hospital, and Prof. Mohamed Salah Al Din– Director of Al-Batinah Specialist Hospital, a group of gentlemen faculty department heads, Aswan civil society leaders, and Islamic clerics in the presence of His Eminence Sheikh / Idris Al-Idrisi, Christian clerics, and the families of the graduates.
The celebration began with verses from the Holy Quran and the national anthem, followed by doctor graduates repeating the oath to preserve the ethics of the medical profession given by Prof. Hossam Abdel Fahim-Secretariat of Aswan Medicine Syndicate.
”Attia” -Aswan Governorator, during his speech, explained that Aswan governorate has witnessed an unbelievable medical boom in the medical facilities of Aswan University from university hospitals that are operating at full capacity, which is beginning to bear fruit with the opening of Al Batinah Specialist Hospital, which provides services to Aswan citizens and the south upper governorates. His Excellency also congratulated the graduates of the Faculty of Medicine.
”Othman”– Aswan University President, during his speech, welcomed Major General”Attia” and ”Al Adirisi” A man of reconciliation and vice president of the Supreme Council of Sufism in the Islamic World, the Christian clerks, and the gentlemen attendants; confirming the importance of the role of the Faculty of Medicine and Aswan University hospitals for raising the medical system inside Aswan governorate, and what Aswan University Hospital provided from medical services for Aswan governorate patients and south upper governorates patients.
His Excellency extended congratulations to the graduates and their families who came today to reap the rewards of their significant efforts throughout the study days and to cap those efforts with success and graduation.
”Al Dahshoury” Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, added that Aswan Faculty of Medicine continued its giving by graduating the eighth batch from the Faculty of Medicine for the academic year 2022, this celebration is considered an annual tradition that has been held every year for the the faculty’s graduates since issuing the presidential decree No.200, 2013 regarding founding of the Faculty of Medicine, which was located at New Aswan City campus; until it became now a medical edifice that is comparable to all faculties of medicine in various universities for providing medical services for citizens through AswanUniversity Hospitals that witnessed an unbelievable medical boom by adding new specializations and medical facilities such as the Central University Hospital at the campus of New Aswan City and a number of the specialist medical centers, in addition to the work is full swing in the emergency and reception hospital and the Specialist Al Batinah Hospital that will be opened so soon to serve the governorate’s citizens.
For his part, ”Kabbash” Aswan Doctors Syndicator of and Former Aswan University President explained that Aswan University Hospital had a credit of founding the Faculty of Medicine for graduating medical caders to support all specializations at Aswan University Hospitals and Health Hospitals at the governorate; he also added that Aswan Doctors Syndicate is a home for each doctor and the syndicate works to provide all aspects of support like trainings, and preserving the position and rights of doctors with their various specializations . As well as His Excellency expressed his pleasure to attend this celebration.
”Al-Tiri” , Vice- Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Education and Student Affairs, indicated that many new departments and specializations have been added to Aswan Medicine for students, with the creation of new departments that did not exist to provide services to citizens in the required manner, such as spine surgery and tumor surgery, including brain tumors, blood vessels, and plastic surgery,and various burns and injuries, in addition to modern operations such as catheterization of the brain, heart, and arteries, until the number of departments in the faculty reached 32.
”Ma’bad” , Executive Director of Aswan University Hospitals, expressed his happiness at the graduation of this batch of interns, so that they would be a new addition to the various departments of the University Hospital in Aswan and a supportive force in serving patients from Aswan and the neighboring governorates in light of the development witnessed by Aswan University hospitals.
Aswan University presented its shield to Major General ”Attia” for his permanent support to the Faculty of Medicine and the university. The graduates and a group of academic staff and heads of departments were also honored in appreciation of their role in serving the faculty and Aswan University Hospital.
”Othman” , the president of the university, presented the university shield to His Eminence Sheikh “Al-Idrisi”. Meanwhile, ”Al Dahshoury” -Dean of the Faculty of Medicine presented the Faculty of Medicine shield to the president of the university, and the shield of the Faculty of Medicine to the Vice-President for Education and Student Affairs and to Dr. “Kabash” -the head of the Aswan Medical Syndicate.
