Medical Convoy to Nasr Al Nuba Managed to Check-up 1069 Cases

  Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman, Aswan University president, said that the medical convoy with its different 11 specialties sent to the village of Al-Madiq in Nasr Al-Nuba managed to check-up 1069 cases. The convoy was launched on Tuesday corresponding to December 7, 2021.

  The medical convoy was a part of the efforts exerted to implement the presidential initiative “Dignified Life” of the presidential initiative “Survival Ships”. The initiative is being implemented by the Higher Medical Committee and the Medical Relief Committee of the Council of Ministers, Aswan University, Sonaa Al Kheir for Development Foundation, National Bank of Egypt, Aswan health, Rota Biogen Pharma and Banque Misr Foundation for development.

  Prof. Ayman Othman added that the convoy was inaugurated by Ambassador. Nabila Makram, minister of immigration, and Maj. Gen. Ashraf Atteya, governor of Aswan. The village inhabitants expressed their pleasure by welcoming the minister raising Egypt Flags.

  Prof. Mohammed Zaki Al Dahshori, dean of the faculty of medicine and chairman of Aswan university hospitals, said that the convoy is providing medical check-up service to the people of Al-Madiq village in cooperation with community service and environmental development sector of  the faculty of medicine under the supervision of Prof. Mohamed Mostafa Amin, vice dean of community service and environmental development, and the university hospital under the management of Dr. Ashraf Meabed, executive manager of Aswan university hospitals, in (11) medical specialties: ophthalmology, internal medicine, pediatrics, orthopedics, dermatology, obstetrics and gynecology, neurology, urology, ENT, and general surgery. Medicine was provided free of charge and complicated cases were transferred to university hospital.

    Dr. Meabed stated that the medical convoy was able to check-up 127 cases of children, 157 orthopedic cases, (161) internal medicine cases, 60 cases of obstetrics and gynecology, 144 ENT cases, (80) urology cases, (130) cases of general surgery, (90) ophthalmology cases, and (120) dermatology cases, with a total number of (1069) patients. Medicine and medical analyses were provided free of charge and the complicated cases were transferred to Aswan university hospital.
