Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Zaki El-Dahshoury, dean of the faculty of medicine and the chairman of Aswan university hospitals, and Dr. Ashraf Meabed, executive manager of Aswan university hospitals, today corresponding to December 9, 2021, the scientific day of obstetrics and gynecology department was held, under the supervision of Prof. Abdo Said Aitallah, professor of obstetrics and gynecology in Sohag University and the scientific supervisor on obstetrics and gynecology department in Aswan university faculty of medicine, and Prof. Mohamed Salah El-Din Fahmy, chairman of the department of obstetrics and gynecology, in cooperation with the department of anesthesia and surgical intensive care. The day was attended by Dr. Mohamed Ahmed Al-Azhari, lecturer of anesthesia in Aswan university faculty of medicine. The event was organized by Dr. Mohamed Ali Anan, lecturer of obstetrics and gynecology in Aswan university faculty of medicine. The day handled several scientific lectures introduced by:
- Prof. Abdo Saeed Ait Allah who gave a lecture entitled: “genetic basis behind recurrent miscarriage”
- Dr. Ahmed Sameh Mostafa, lecturer, who gave a lecture entitled: “Dealing with Covid 19 During Pregnancy” in order to spread awareness about this vital topic.
The attendees included a group of academic staff and their assistants, obstetrics and gynecology department in Aswan university hospital doctors in addition to the doctors of the governorate, the ministry of health as well as postgraduate students (Masters and Ph.D)
At the end of the day; the department’s management evaluated the department’s technical and statistical performance to implement continuing medical education policy. Scientific meetings will be continued monthly.
