Today, Friday, July 30, 2021, the medical convoy of Aswan University concluded its medical work in the sister country of Tanzania, which began its activities from July 22, 2021, until July 30, which included many professors of the Faculty of Medicine – Aswan University in various specialties, and performed many operations Surgical treatment of dozens of cases from Tanzania, and detection and treatment of thousands of other cases from patients of different ages and in different specialties.
Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman- Acting President of Aswan University, stated that this convoy comes as a continuation of the university’s service, educational and medical role towards Africa, taking into account the humanitarian and strategic dimension in this field, as well as within the framework of Aswan University’s regional and international role towards the external community in the African continent in light of The orientations of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the President of the Republic, to extend the roots of fruitful cooperation between Aswan University and African universities, especially after the President’s decision to make Aswan the capital of culture, economy and Arab and African youth for the brown continent “Africa”.
Prof. Mohamed Zaki El-Dahshoury – Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Aswan University and head of the convoy added that the convoy concluded its work by conducting (29) cases of different congenital malformations in the urinary tract, and it is one of the delicate surgeries that require experience for many years in this field, and it included cases of the lower incision of the duct Different degrees of urine, bladder exposure and mixed-sex cases in Sheki Hospital, in addition to (20) different surgeries for adults in the urinary tract, which were performed by Dr. Ahmed Salah, a teacher of urology and venereology at Aswan Medicine, including urinary incontinence, which was performed at Witty Hospital on Pemba Island. in Zanzibar City.
Dr. “Al-Dahshoury” indicated that this cooperation between the Ministry of Health in the State of Tanzania is the beginning of the opening of fruitful and real cooperation to build joint scientific and medical bridges between the Faculty of Medicine and Aswan University Hospitals in the near future.
