Today corresponding to 21th Nov. 2021, Aswan University organized 2 free of charge medical convoys for the affected inhabitants by floods in El Shalal and Ezbet El Nahda in Kima among the President Sisi’s initiative “100 Million Healthy Lives” for the universities’ social engagement. The convoys started from Aswan university hospital under the patronage of the minister of higher education and scientific research Prof. Khaled Abd Al Ghaffar, Aswan University acting president Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman, faculty of medicine’s dean and the chairman of Aswan university hospitals Prof. Mohammed Zaki Al Dahshori, vice dean of community service and environmental development Prof. Mohammed Moustafa Amin and Aswan university hospitals’ executive manager Dr. Ashraf Mebeed.
Prof. Ayman Othman declared that today corresponding to 21st Nov. is the 1st day of the 2 convoys’ activities for the affected people by floods in El Shalal and Ezbet El Nhda in Kima where they will be checked –up and treated free of charge. The convoys include 18 medical specialties. He added that the convoy will organize several sessions on reproductive health and 1st aid in cooperation between the faculty of medicine and Aswan University.
Prof. Dahshori said that Aswan university hospitals and the faculty of medicine play their medical and social role towards society and surrounding environment amid what Aswan governorate has recently exposed to as a result it was a must to provide medical service to the most affected inhibitants in Al Shalal and Ezbet Al Nahda .
Dr. Meabed added that the 2 convoys include all medical specialties and will continue for a week starting from today.
