On the sidelines of the first international scientific conference of the Department of Tropical Medicine and Gastroenterology, a workshop entitled “Ultrasound of the Abdomen and Pelvis” was held today corresponding to the 1st of Feb. 2017 in the department of tropical Medicine and gastroenterology. The workshop was lectured by Dr. Mohamed Hassani, consultant of hepatolgy at the National Liver Institute, and Dr. Mohamed Abdel Fattah, assistant lecturer in the department of tropical Medicine and gastroenterology at Aswan university hospital. The event was attended by a large number of doctors from different specialties. Many patients of different ages were checked up via ultrasound.
