-An Introduction to Vascular Surgery Department:
The Department of Vascular Surgery started as an independent department in line with the faculty of medicine’s inauguration in 2013. It is a unique department in the whole city. Since its construction, the department has undergone apparent development till becoming one of the distinctive departments of vascular surgery in Upper Egypt.
The vascular Surgery department aims at preparing well-experienced doctors with medical skills to deal with the various cases, diagnose them, and then intervene for treatment in a timely manner in line with today’s intense scientific and medical development. It seeks to promote communication between doctors and patients and deepen professional ethics in its physicians.
-The department organizes several activities because of Egypt is the 1st African pioneer country in this field and Celebrating World Vein Day-2024.
-Vascular Surgery Department Organizes An Awareness Campaign Under the Slogan of World Vein Disease Week.
-The department launched the first international conference on vascular surgery in Aswan in collaboration with the World Health Organization, “Vein Week”, in 2021.
-In 2019, the Department of Vascular Surgery hosted an international workshop named “New Developments in Vascular Surgery” that was attended by Italian professionals as well as young vascular and arterial surgeons from Minya, Assiut, Sohag, Qena, Luxor, and Aswan governorates. The workshop was held at the Aswan University Hospital.
