The department offers numerous services in several directions, such as:
Educates faculty of medicine’s 3rd-year students with the old system: pathology lectures as well as practical training.
Educates faculty of medicine’s 1st and 2nd-year students by the modern system (integrated).
Educates faculty of nursing students: the study of general pathology and practical training on samples.
Post-graduation educational services:
The department gives pathology lectures to researchers in all areas on a specific schedule.
The department offers several research services for many researchers in the different fields through diagnosis, special tinctures, and slide imaging in addition to supervision and participation in different research.
- Surgical samples: excised surgical samples are received in all ways and from all resources even from the university hospital or the comprehensive clinic or from outside. The samples are registered in the department’s files, diagnosing and sample sectioning, preparing them, and making microscope slides.
- Cellular Diagnosis: liquid samples are received for cellular diagnosis. Every case is provided by a separate report for free.
- Slide revision: every sample and outside microscopic slides are received for diagnosis revision and providing a separate report for free.
- Symposiums and Seminars: monthly symposiums are held in the department.
