Aswan University President Opens Events of the Seventh Annual Conference at the Department of Pediatrics

Prof. Louay Saad El-Din Nasrat, Acting President of Aswan University, inaugurated the activities of the Seventh Annual Conference of the Department of Pediatrics at the Faculty of Medicine, Aswan University, on Wednesday afternoon, February 12, 2025, under the auspices of Prof. Mohamed Zaki El-Dahshoury, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, and Prof. Ashraf Maabad, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environment Affairs, and with the honor of Prof. Hanan Abdel Moneim, Professor of Pediatrics and former Vice President of Aswan University for Education and Student Affairs, and Dr. Mohamed Abdel Qader, Director of Health Care in Aswan, under the supervision of Prof. Bahaa El-Hawary, Head of the Department, and in the presence of a group of professors of pediatrics from various universities.

 

At the beginning, Louai, the university president, welcomed the attendees and praised Aswan University’s remarkable progress in all of its fields, particularly medicine, emphasizing that Aswan University hospitals benefit greatly from organizing these scientific and medical conferences that aim to advance the educational, research, and medical systems, which benefit patients in Aswan Governorate and the governorates of southern Upper Egypt.

He expressed his happiness in hosting this significant scientific event in Aswan, Africa’s cultural, economic, and young capital.

For his part, Al-Dahshouri, Dean of Aswan University’s Faculty of Medicine, affirmed that the faculty plans to host several medical conferences through its scientific departments in order to convey the skills and experiences of academics from various specializations to younger doctors. His Excellency also stated that Aswan University’s Faculty of Medicine is currently organizing a number of scientific conferences including scientists and doctors from various medical specialties.

 

In turn, Maabad, the Faculty of Medicine’s Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, emphasized that hosting medical conferences and seminars is an important part of the college’s role in serving the local community and facilitating the exchange of knowledge and experience among doctors and researchers.

 

Al-Hawari, Head of the Pediatrics Department, noted that this year’s seventh annual conference, titled “New in Pediatrics,” will be conducted in collaboration with the Future for Children Association. He stated that the conference covers a wide range of medical themes relevant to children’s health and will be attended by academics and specialized doctors from major Egyptian universities, as well as a distinguished Arab delegation from the University of Happy Yemen.
