Under the auspice of Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman, Aswan University President, Prof. Mohammed Zaki Al-Dahshoury, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Mohammed Mustafa Hussein Younis, Head of the Department of Urology and Genital Surgery, and the Head of the Conference that will be held in ISIS Hotel through the period from February 28 to March 1, 2024, the conference will be preceded by workshops in the major operations wing of the university hospital; the first workshop was inaugurated yesterday, Monday, February 26, 2024, in the presence of Prof. Ashraf Mabed, Vice- Dean for Community Service and Development Affairs, and Prof. Mustafa Al-Tiri, Vice– Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, surroundings, Prof. Ramadan Ghaleb -Al Batinah Hospital’s director, and Prof. Mohammed Rabie-Surgery Hospital’s director.
“Al-Dahshoury,” Dean of the Faculty and Professor of Urology at Aswan Medicine, declared that the first workshop was about “the latest methods of treating urinary incontinence and urinary tract diseases in women” that was organized by Dr. Ahmed Salah, a lecturer in urology at Aswan Medicine, as well as the following doctors who took part in performing eight surgical procedures for women suffering from advanced diseases related to obstetrics and gynecology surgery:
Prof. Jamal Ghoneim, Professor of Urology and Reproductive Tracts at the University of California, USA.
Prof. Joanna, Professor of Urology at Pelvic Medicine Ochsner Medical Center.
Prof. Ahmed Saafan, Professor of Urology at Ain Shams University.
Prof. Bilal Farhan, Assistant Professor of Urology at the University of Texas, USA.
The department will resume work from yesterday and hold two workshops today, Tuesday, corresponding to the current February 27, according to Younis, Head of the Department and Conference. The first workshop will be held by Dr. Amr Alam El Din, a lecturer in urology at Aswan Medicine, and will focus on “What’s new in male implant surgeries and erectile dysfunction in men.” It will be supervised by:
Prof. Abdel Rahman Zahran, a professor of urology at Alexandria University.
Prof. Ahmed Al-Taher, head of the department of urology, Luxor Medicine.
Prof. Dolim Al-Hajri, a Professor of Urology in the State of Kuwait and the Head of the Urology Society in the State of Kuwait.
Operations will range from 3 to 4 surgical operations for those who suffer from erectile dysfunction and the installation of flexible supports for them. Followed by a workshop about (News on flexible endoscopes and the use of lasers in urinary tract surgery,” organized by Dr.Hassan Ali Gad, a lecturer in the Urology Department at Aswan Medicine, and Dr. Peter Tawfiq, a lecturer in the Urology Department at Aswan Medicine, the workshop supervisors are:

Surgeries will be performed on what’s new in the use of flexible endoscopes and lasers for adults and children, involving four flexible endoscope cases and three prostates, by using a laser.
