Today, Wednesday, October 18, 2023, Prof. Mohamed Zaki Al-Dahshouri, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Aswan University, and Students for Egypt at the Faculty participated in a blood donation campaign to benefit the brotherly Palestinian people. This comes under the auspices of Professor Dr. Ayman Mahmoud Othman, President of Aswan University, in the presence of Pro. Ashraf Maabad, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs.
The university president, Othman, emphasized the Egyptian state’s long-standing support for the Palestinian cause, as well as the role of political leadership in containing recent events, and stated that the blood donation campaign for the Palestinian people will last a week.
“Al-Dahshouri,” Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, added that he discovered a high demand among college students to donate blood for the benefit of the Palestinian people who suffer as a result of the Israeli bombing, which has left victims and injured people in desperate need of medical and therapeutic assistance, including medical supplies and humanitarian aid.
“Ma’bad,” the faculty’s dean for community service and environmental development, indicated that the faculty’s sector will organize several blood donation campaigns to benefit the Palestinian people, ensuring that this is not confined to the faculty but that our responsibility will extend to Aswani Street, where we will organize blood donation drives to save the lives of Palestinians who have been hurt or wounded.
