Aswan University Organizes a Medical Convoy in El-Alaqi Village Includes Several Specializations to Serve Patients

In light of the directives of H.E. President / Abdel Fattah El-Sisi – President of the Republic-to carry out the presidential initiative”Decent Life Initiative”(Hayaa Kareema) Aswan Faculty of Medicine performed its serving role towards society by launching a medical convoy to El-Alaqi Village on Wednesday 15/3/2023 through the university hospital doctors and Aswan University Medicine professors under the patronage of Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman-Aswan University President, Prof. Mohamed Zaki El Dahshoury – Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Aswan University Hospitals, and Prof. Ashraf Maabed – Executive Director of Aswan University Hospitals, under the supervision of Prof. Mohamed Mustafa Amin – Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development.

Prof. Mohamed-Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development stated that the convoy included several medical specializations to serve El-Alaqi Village people and patients where (552) patients were checked and (70) cases were transferred to Aswan University Hospital, also provided free treatment for patients. 

For his part, ”Maba’d” Executive Director of Aswan University Hospitals, explained that Aswan University Hospital and the Faculty of Medicine are organizing multidisciplinary medical convoys to serve Aswan people and patients, especially the remote areas that lack medical service, within the context of carrying out the presidential initiative “A Decent Life” in the Governorate. 

His Excellency added that the convoy included 12 medical specialties, namely: (orthopedics, pediatric, general surgery, plastic surgery, dermatology, venereal diseases, andrology, ophthalmology, urology, obstetrics, and gynecology, internal medicine, chest diseases, ear, nose and throat, tropical medicine and digestive system); in addition to transferring surgical cases to the University Hospital to conduct the necessary medical examinations in preparation for free operations, the convoy provided free treatment for all cases that were medically checked.
