Today corresponding to 23rd Nov. 2021, Aswan university organized a free of charge medical convoy to the affected people by rains in Al Kobaneya Village’s people . The convoy was decided to continue until tomorrow corresponding to 24th Nov.
It is part of President Sisi’s initiative “ Dignified Life” in cooperation with Aswan health directorate. The convoy’s activities started from the university hospital under the patronage of the minister of higher education and scientific research Dr. Khaled Abd Al Ghaffar, Aswan governor Maj. Gen. Ashraf Ateya, Aswan university acting president Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman, faculty of medicine’s dean Prof. Mohammed Zaki Al Dahshori, the vice dean of community service and environmental development Prof. Mohammed Mustafa Amin and Aswan university hospital executive manger Prof. Ashraf Mebead.
Prof. Othman said that the 2 convoys sent to Ezbet Al Nahda and El Shalal which included 18 different medical specialties included checking-up on 1383 cases with giving medicine and doing medical analysis free of charge.
His excellency added that the convoy held today in Al Kobaneya is a part of “ Dignified Life” presidential initiative for serving our families that affected by the floods in cooperation between the faculty of medicine, Aswan university hospital and Aswan health directorate.
Prof. Dahshori declared that there is fruitful cooperation between Aswan university, the university hospital Aswan health directorate and the faculty of medicine which plays its positive role towards society and the surrounding environment amid what Aswan governorate has exposed to of heavy rains and the injuries affected some citizens, so we were committed to providing medical care for Aswan people especially the inhabitants of Al Kobaneya Viallge as they are the most affected. In its 1st day about 580 cases were checked-up and treated free of charge. Regarding the complicated cases they were transferred to Aswan university hospital.
Dr. Mebead said that the convoy includes 9 different medical specialties for providing health care. The service started last Sunday in the regions of El Shalal and Ezbet El Nahda and it is continuing today in the village of Al Kobaneya in the following specialists: ophthalmology, general surgery, ENT, orthopedics, internal medicine, neurosurgery, pediatrics, dermatology and urology. Good Willing, the convoy will continue its activities tomorrow in Kobaneya and Southern Benban.
