In light of Egypt’s Vision 2032, Benha University’s efforts to promote innovation, research, development, and knowledge, and to build on the success of the Smart Cities Hackathon, which will take place from January 17 to March 26, 2022, and was organized under the direction of the Minister of Education. Under the heading “Towards a Smart Administrative Capital,” higher education and scientific research are being conducted with the assistance of El Sewedy Digital and Orange Egypt in collaboration with Amazon Web Services.
In light of this, Benha University announces the beginning of the “Smart Government for a Smart Administrative Capital” Hackathon in February 2023. This event’s goal is to find creative solutions in 14 areas connected to smart government, including:
Smart identity, smart democracy, smart services, smart media, smart communication, smart society, smart government, clever driving, smart planning, smart movement, tracking, monitoring, and smart insurance are all examples of smart concepts.
A collection of professors from Egyptian universities as well as experts in Amazon Web Services will present webinars to qualify the participating teams. The qualified teams will receive hands-on training in the Internet of Things laboratories and Digital Egypt Creativity Centers set up in Egyptian colleges. The winning teams will then spend three days at Benha University being hosted and given the support and direction they need to build and develop prototypes of their innovations, provided that the prototypes are evaluated by industry professionals, the results are made public, and awards are given out on the third day.
In addition to the valuable prizes provided by the supporting businesses, Benha University will also award financial rewards to the hackathon winners. The winners will also receive a fantastic chance to promote their innovations to brand-new private colleges in Egypt.
