Today, on Sunday, December 24, 2017, the comprehensive convoy was launched under the auspices of the Administrative Control Authority – Aswan in the village of Ezbet El Hodoud in cooperation with Aswan University and Aswan Governorate under the title of an initiative:
”Partners in protecting national interests”
The initiative aims to organize and facilitate comprehensive care convoys for the villages that are the most deserving in caring and needing in several areas, including “medical, veterinary, agricultural, social, cultural, legal, sports, facilities and public services,” which began in the Ezbet El Hodoud village in the morning Sunday in the attendance of Major General / Mohamed Abu Al-Nasr – President of The Administrative Control Authority in Aswan, Prof. Ahmed Ghallab Muhammad – Aswan University President , Major General/ Hani Mahmoud – General Secretary of the Governorate, directors of the directorates of health, social solidarity, youth and sports, the Adult Education Authority and the President of Aswan City, and Prof. Ayman Othman – Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Prof. Ahmed Sayed Khalil – Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development in the presence of the Deans of the Faculty of Human Medicine, Law, Physical Education and Specific Education, and the Faculty of Archeology and Veterinary Medicine, and Prof. Mustafa Adam Al-Tiri – Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs .
The convoy began its work by distributing in-kind aids provided by some community development associations and institutions in Aswan to the needy villagers as confirming the need for social participation by civil society institutions, and this according to the village’s social survey prepared by the Solidarity Directorate, which represented in a number of 2 wheelchairs provided by the Egyptian Family Development Foundation and a sum of money 1000 l.e for 16 cases that deserve financial assistance provided by the General Organization for Social Solidarity, 25 blankets, meat and food commodities provided by the Aroman Association and 500 pounds for 6 members of the Egyptian Association for Family Protection.
The convoy provided a free medical examination for the people of the area in 12 medical specialties, which is cost 50,000 l.e provided by Aswan University Hospital. Medical examinations were also conducted for Hepatitis C, diabetes, and hypertension, and the urgent cases of illness that needed surgical intervention were transferred to Aswan University Hospital.
Agricultural, veterinary, and legal advice were also provided, as well as cultural, media, and educational awareness against corruption and the protection of the country interests Specific education students painted artistic murals and creative paintings on the walls of the Ezbet El Hodoud Youth Center and some houses to draw a civilized, aesthetic, elegant image to maximize the concept of civilized behavior and to raise the general taste of the citizen. The people of the region expressed their great happiness over this initiative and participation in easing the burden on the shoulders of Aswan families, calling for the continuation of such comprehensive convoys that serve the community.
At the end of the convoy, a football match was held between the university team and the Ezbet El Hodoud Youth Center team, which ended with the border team winning (0/2). “Ghallab” Aswan University President presented the university’s cup to the winning team and distributed medals in the presence of many university leaders, executive leaders in the governorate, and students university who were interested in positive participation for society.
