Under the patronage of Professor Ahmed Ghallab, President of Aswan University, and under the supervision of Professor Abdel-Matin Moussa, Conference Chair, Professor Essam Abu El-Magd, Head of the Department of Otolaryngology, and Professor Abdel-Rahman El-Tahhan, General Rapporteur of the Conference, the first day of the Fourth Conference on Otolaryngology commenced today, Wednesday, February 7, 2018. The conference featured presentations by numerous professors and faculty members from various Egyptian universities, aiming to benefit postgraduate students and physicians from across the country. Among those in attendance were:
Professor Hanan Abdel-Moneim Awad, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs;
Professor Ahmed Sayed Khalil, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development;
Professor Ayman Othman Mahmoud, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research; and a distinguished group of physicians, faculty members, and their assistants from various Egyptian universities.
At the beginning of his speech, Ghallab praised the importance of such conferences, highlighting their role in promoting tourism and developing education. He then honored Professor Dr. Abdel-Matin Moussa, the conference president, presenting him with the university’s shield in recognition and appreciation of his efforts in this field.
Al-Tahhan added that numerous universities, scientific institutes, and military medical academies are participating in this conference, which aims to showcase the latest advancements in otolaryngology (ENT) surgery, such as cochlear implantation, laryngeal, head and neck surgery, and middle ear surgery.
