In the Presence of the Governor of Aswan and the University President, New Medical and Service Facilities Were Inaugurated at Aswan University Hospitals

Aswan University Hospitals witnessed an exceptional event with the inauguration of several new medical and service facilities. This took place under the auspices of Eng. Amr Lashin, Governor of Aswan; Prof. Loay Saad El-Din Nasrat, President of Aswan University; Prof. Mohamed Zaki El-Dashoury, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine; and Prof. Ashraf Maabad, Executive Director of University Hospitals.

This step reflects an unprecedented leap forward in the healthcare system in southern Egypt. The inauguration ceremony was attended by high-level officials from Aswan University and the Faculty of Medicine, including:

Prof. Ahmed Ghallab, former President of Aswan University;

Prof. Mustafa Adam El-Tiri, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Graduate Studies and Research and Head of the Department of Dermatology; and Mr. Gaber Abu Khalil, Member of Parliament.

The opening tour included a number of specialized, high-quality service facilities, most notably the inauguration of the Orthopedic Hospital, the Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) Department, and the upgraded Pathology Laboratory. The event also marked the launch of the digital transformation system, designed to enhance both administrative efficiency and medical performance. Additionally, a central restaurant featuring multiple dining areas and a VIP lounge was inaugurated, along with the operation of the central laundry and sterilization unit.

The university administration emphasized that these projects come within the framework of a comprehensive strategic plan to expand medical services and upgrade infrastructure. This plan aims to provide advanced healthcare in accordance with the latest international standards, while strengthening the position of Aswan University Hospitals as leading medical and educational institutions serving the people of Upper Egypt.
