Under the patronage of Prof.Mohamed Zaki Al-Dahshoury-Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dr.Ashra’f Mabad-Executive Director of Aswan University Hospitals, Prof. Sahar Haasani-Professor of the Gastroenterology and Tropical Medicine in Assiut, and the Medical Supervisor of the Department in Aswan.
Within the context of the ongoing search that is provided by the Tropical Medicine and Gastroenterology Department at Aswan University Hospital, and its effective role to promote the health service which is provided to Aswan governorate people and its neighboring governorates; according to the activities of the global periodical day for the department and its continuous activities a workshop has been launched under the name of :
”Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography ERCP”
-For the treatment of obstructive jaundice
-Balloon removal of bile duct stones
-Stent installation
In which (6) obstructive jaundice cases have been treated, where the department’s doctors received the cases for the initial check daily from Thursday corresponding to February,2,2023 to Tuesday corresponding to February,7,2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Gastroenterology Department, 3rd floor, the New Internal Medicine Hospital where they debated their cases during those days.
The department’s efforts have culminated in the success of the workshop under the leadership and directions of Dr. Awni Ali Abdel Rahman – Head of the Department, and with the assistance of Dr. Mohamed Abdel Fattah – Lecturer in the Department, Dr. Mina Tharwat – Lecturer in the Department, the consultants and the medical staff of specialists and residents.
The workshop also hosted:
Prof. Mohamed Taj –Professor of General Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology and Endoscopy, Qena University.
Prof. Hassan El-Khatib –Professor of General and Laparoscopic Surgery, Aswan University.
