Prof. Mohamed Zaki Al-Dahshoury-Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Aswan University Hospitals stated that within the framework of supporting young doctors and work on exchanging experiences and continued training, the urology department at Aswan Medicine held a global workshop under the name of :
”Penile Implant: Techniques, Updates, and More”
This comes under the patronage of Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman-Aswan University President, Prof. Mohamed Zaki Al-Dahshoury, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine; Prof. Mohamed Mostafa Hussein, Head of the Urology Department in Aswan Medicine and Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research; and Dr. Ashraf Maabed, Executive Director of Aswan University Hospitals, in cooperation with the Arab Association of Urology in Dubai, headed by Prof.Yasser Farhat, Professor of Urology and President of the Arab Urology Association; and Prof. Ahmed Rashid Hammad, Professor of Urology and Secretary of the Arab Urology Association; the workshop will resume its works until the current February 12, 2023.
Al-Dahshoury confirmed the importance of fruitful and constructive cooperation between the Urology department at Aswan Medicine and the Arab Association of Urology and works to activate true collaboration by holding several training workshops in all urological specializations.
Dr. Amr Alam El Din – Lecturer of Urology and Andrology, at Aswan Medicine, added that holding the global workshop comes according to the collaboration protocol which is signed with the Arab Association of Urology for training doctors from various countries of the world on installing pillars for the semi-rigid penis for ED patients; the attendance included experts in this field from various countries around the world while the attendance included 30 trainers from various countries such as Syria, India, Libya, and Algeria.
Alam El Din added that 6 surgical operations have been conducted on ED patients, also the global workshop included checking many cases and giving scientific lectures about the disciplines of Andrology and ED, for training doctors from various countries of the world on installing pillars for the semi-rigid penis for ED patients. This practical workshop was under the supervision of :
Italian expert Prof. Carlo Bettocchi-President of the European Society of Andrology and Professor of Urology in Italy.
Prof. Abdel Rahman Zahran, the Arab Republic of Egypt, Professor of Urology and Andrology, Alexandria University.
Dr. Amr Alam El Din, the coordinator of the workshop, Lecturer of Urology and Andrology, Aswan Medicine.
”Maabed”, Executive Director of Aswan University Hospitals, added that today the workshop was held at the conference hall at Internal Medicine Hospital which has been opened recently. The surgical operations were conducted at the urology department at Aswan University Hospital; holding training and scientific workshops come in order to improve the medical system inside Aswan University Hospital, and provide distinguished medical services for people and patients of Aswan and neighboring governorates.
