Neurology and Psychiatry department provides several services, it’s divided as the following:
Outpatient Clinic:
Located in the outpatient building of the Department of Neurology and Psychiatry, the clinic operates during all official working days of the department. A teaching assistant is available daily for patient evaluation and examination.
State-Funded Treatment:
Medical consultations, examinations, and prescriptions are provided by faculty members under the state-funded healthcare system.
Neurophysiology Unit:
This unit performs nerve conduction studies, electromyography (EMG), and evoked potential testing. Services are conducted by a teaching assistant and are available throughout the week.
Electroencephalography (EEG) and Neurovascular Imaging Unit:
This unit performs EEG studies for patients and operates throughout the week. It is also equipped with a carotid Doppler ultrasound machine for assessment of the cerebral and cervical arteries.
Cerebral Catheterization Unit:
Operating 24/7, this unit performs diagnostic cerebral angiography in cases of intracranial hemorrhage and cerebral aneurysms.
