-An Introduction to Plastic Surgery:

The Department of Burns and Reconstructive Surgery is a specialty unit related to the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and it is one of the most important departments of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Aswan.

It is also the only one in the governorate which offers a totally free service. It receives victims of burns and bad accidents coming from remote and border areas of Upper Egypt, the south and the west, the Red Sea, and the neighboring villages (the number of patients who receive the service exceeds 12 million)

-Creating a dedicated area for the department’s suitable storage of medical instruments and supplies, as well as placing sanitary ventilation devices in it.

-Paint replacement and compensation for wear and tear from everyday patient use, as well as remodeling of the department’s surgical receiving room.

-Two of the most recent forms of burn care respirators for serious burns and inhalation burns.

1- The conference of the Egyptian Society for Plastic Surgery and Burns held at the Mövenpick Hotel Aswan in November 2015 – organization and management of the Department of Plastic Surgery – Aswan University.

 

2- Surgical campaign and workshop on cleft lip deformities and cleft palate in cooperation with Operation Smile International – under the supervision of the Plastics Department at Aswan University – March 2016.

 

3- The conference of the Egyptian Society for Plastic Surgery and Burns, held at Isis Island Hotel, Aswan – January 2020, organization and management of the Department of Plastic Surgery – Aswan University.

 

4- The surgical campaign for cleft lip deformities, cleft palate, and birth defects in the head and neck, in cooperation with Operation Ibtisama International – under the supervision of the Plastics Department at Aswan University – February 2020.

 

5- The activities of the international convoy for the treatment of children, in cooperation between Aswan University and the Operation Smile Foundation, Egypt – December 2021.
