Under the auspices of Prof. Mohamed Zaki El-Dahshoury – Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, the Department of Urology and Reproductive Surgery in Aswan Medicine completed its monthly series of activities, so yesterday, Monday corresponding to 19/7/ 2022, the department’s weekly seminar activities were launched under the supervision of Prof. Mohamed Mostafa Hussein – Head of the Department of Urology and Reproductive Surgery at Aswan Medicine and Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, where Dr. Mohamed Lotfy Alaa El-Din, Assistant Lecturer, Department of Urology, Aswan, gave a lecture entitled:
“Urinary Ultrasound Scan”
The scientific day dealt with an adequate explanation of the following:
Uses of atomic scanning and its importance in diagnosing renal obstruction.
It’s used in the diagnosis of kidney infections in children and some tumors.
It’s used in diagnosing congenital defects in the kidneys, ureters, and renal pelvis, as well as measuring kidney function.
Al-Dahshoury, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, explained that the faculty is working to hold intensive and periodic workshops and scientific meetings to stand on solid ground and to learn about new methods of treatment in the various departments of Aswan University Hospital, and this leads to the quality of the medical service provided to the patient.
Younes, Head of the Department of Urology and Reproductive Surgery, added, stressing the importance of development in the educational system, especially the medical system, which begins through the departments to hone young doctors with scientific and research expertise. Much academic staff in the Department of Urology and young doctors participated in the meeting.
