The Director General of the Human Resources Department announces the decision of the respected University Council in its session No. (154) on April 28, 2025, headed by Prof. Loai Saad El-Din Nasrat, Acting President of Aswan University, concerning the following:
“Academic staff and their assistants are required to take a drug test and attach the results of it (from laboratories affiliated with the Ministry of Health, not private laboratories, and stamped with the seal of the Republic) with the required documents for promotion at all levels, from teaching assistant to professor.”
As a result, all academic staff and their assistants applying for promotion should take this decision into account, beginning with the May 2025 promotions.
