The General Administration of Postgraduate Studies and Researches at Aswan University announces the approval of the University Council in its session No. (117) that was held on 28/3/2022 on the following:
First: Not to open the enrollment door of postgraduate studies to the doctoral degree in any department of the faculty at the university unless there is a professor in it.
Second: Not to open the enrollment door for postgraduate studies for a master’s degree in any department of the colleges at the university unless there is an assistant professor in it.
Third: The maximum number of registrations for all academic staff in the university is as the following:
- (20 theses) for professors.
- (15 theses) for assistant professor.
- (10 theses) for lecturer.
- (5 theses) for any academic staff seconded from abroad.
- The first 2 items of this decision shall not be applied to assistants of academic staff in the university
And this is without prejudice to the articles contained in the Law of Organizing Universities and its executive regulation, texts that are contained in the regulations of the faculties of the university, and the decisions that are issued by the University Council regarding rules of the enrollment and registration of the postgraduate studies stage.
