Based on the announcement of the Supreme Council of Universities regarding the opening of applications for the Onsi Sawiris Scholarship Program for the academic year 2027/2028, the Faculty is pleased to inform students of this fully funded scholarship, which aims to provide outstanding Egyptian students with the opportunity to pursue a bachelor’s or master’s degree at one of the distinguished universities in the United States of America.

The Onsi Sawiris Scholarship Program offers study opportunities at one of the following top-ranked U.S. universities: Harvard University, Stanford University, University of Chicago, University of Pennsylvania, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), in cooperation with AMIDEAST.
The program is funded by Orascom Construction through the Sawiris Foundation for Development.

The scholarship is awarded on the basis of merit, character, and need, demonstrated through academic excellence, extracurricular involvement, and entrepreneurial potential. It covers all educational and living expenses, including tuition fees, pre-departure orientation, living expenses, travel costs, health insurance, study materials, and other benefits.

 

Master’s Program Eligibility Requirements:

-The scholarship targets students wishing to pursue a Master’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration.

 

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

-Must be Egyptian citizens residing in the Arab Republic of Egypt.

-Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5/4.0.

-Must demonstrate active participation in extracurricular activities, including community service.

-Applicants for the MBA program must have at least three years of work experience, while applicants for the Master of Engineering program must have a minimum of two years of experience.

-Must commit to returning to Egypt for two years after completing the degree.

 

Required Test Scores

Applicants must meet the minimum required scores for admission:

TOEFL iBT: 100 or higher

IELTS: 7.5 or higher

One of the following graduate admission tests:

GRE: Minimum score of 315 for Master of Engineering applicants

GMAT Focus Edition: Minimum score of 595
(equivalent to 650 or higher in the traditional GMAT) for MBA applicants
