
The Central Administration of Scholarships at the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education, in partnership with the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA), announces the Egyptian-Japanese Initiative (EJEP) in Japan for the academic year 2023/2024, and invites faculty members and their assistants in Egyptian universities and research centers (entities included in the scholarship plan) to apply electronically through the electronic platform of the central management of scholarships with their applications for obtaining one of the following scholarships, as follows:
Joint supervision mission: It gives the opportunity to spend a year doing research in a higher education institution in Japan for Egyptians who are currently preparing for a doctorate at an Egyptian government university or a research center.
Scientific mission: to conduct post-doctoral research (Post Doctor, scientific exchange, visits to scientific schools, visits to laboratories, writing a project) for a period of 6 months.
Master’s: Scholarship to obtain a master’s degree from an educational institution in Japan, for a period of one year, extendable for another year as a maximum.
Important definitions: –
Grants offered to the state: They are the expenses and material benefits provided by the foreign side in accordance with the executive program signed between the two countries.
Delegation: It is the foreign university to which the student will be sent to study abroad.
Sending Entity: The Entity for which he works in the homeland.
Registration: It is the registration of a research point that has been approved by the University Council, not the date of enrollment or the start of study in a master’s or doctoral program.
Schedule of announcements:
-Application start date: Thursday (8/17/2023).
-The deadline for submission: Sunday (9/17/2023).
-The deadline for reviewing electronic files: Monday (9/28/2023).
-The deadline for personal interviews: 10/26/2023.
-Date of announcing the final exam result and candidates: November 2023.
