The Department of Vascular Surgery at Aswan University Hospital saves the life of a citizen from death

Under the patronage of Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman, President of Aswan University, and within the framework of the health and therapeutic role played by Aswan University Hospitals in serving the patients of Aswan Governorate and the patients of the southern Upper Egypt governorates.

Prof. Mohamed Zaki El-Dahshoury, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Aswan University Hospitals, stated that a medical team in the Department of Vascular Surgery succeeded in saving the life of the patient “A.A”, as he attended the surgery reception at Aswan University Hospital with a deep wound in the neck from the left side, following a quarrel in one of the areas in Aswan Governorate, he was immediately received by the vascular surgery team at Aswan University Hospital and intensive care doctors. The patient was immediately transferred to the intensive care unit under the supervision of a medical team from the doctors of the two departments.

“Al-Dahshoury”, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, added that the bleeding was controlled by vascular surgeons, and after the patient’s condition stabilized, he was immediately transferred to the emergency operating room, where the wound was explored and it was found that there was a total laceration in the main arteries and veins on the left side of the neck, and it was controlled. The kidneys prevent bleeding and repair all severed arteries and veins, without affecting the nerves feeding the brain.

Dr. Ashraf Maabad – Executive Director of Aswan University Hospitals, explained that the patient was transferred to the intensive care unit for recovery and recovery in the ward of the vascular surgery department, and the patient is in good health.
