Events of Plastic Surgery Medical Convoy at Aswan University Hospitals Launched to Check and Assess the Cases

As part of Aswan University Hospitals’ ongoing efforts to provide specialized medical services to the people of Aswan and the Upper Egyptian governorates, a plastic surgery medical convoys was launched on Thursday, August 27, 2026. Organized by the Plastic Surgery Department at Aswan University Hospitals, the convoy aimed to examine and assess patients and identify cases requiring surgical intervention.

On its first day, the medical team conducted comprehensive examinations of patients referred to the Plastic Surgery Department at Aswan University Hospital. The specialized team carefully evaluated the cases and determined those eligible for surgical intervention based on their medical conditions and assessments. The convoy continued its activities on Friday, August 28, 2026, with the surgical procedures being performed on the selected cases in accordance with their medical needs and health conditions.

 

The medical convoy was held under the auspices of Prof. Mohamed Zaki El-Dashoury, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Aswan University Hospitals; Prof. Ashraf Maabed, Executive Director of Aswan University Hospitals; and Dr. Amr Alam, Director of the Surgical Departments at Aswan University Hospitals. The convoy was supervised by Prof. Mohamed El-Ateify, Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery, and Prof. Ahmed Qanawy, Head of the Plastic Surgery Department at the Faculty of Medicine, Aswan University.
