Under the patronage of Prof. Louay Sa’sd Al-Din Nassrat, Acting Aswan University President, it’s held on Monday, corresponding to the 7th October reception of new and old students for the academic year 2024/2025 with the honor and presence of His Excellency and the attendance of Prof. Mohamed Zaki Al-Dahshoury, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, and Prof. Mohamed Mostafa Hussein Younis, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Mustafa Adam Al-Tayri, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Prof. Ashraf Maabad, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Magda Farghali Gebry, Director of the Education Development Program at the faculty.
The ceremony’s performance began with verses of the holy Qur’an, and the national anthem followed it. Dr. Louay, Acting Aswan University President, opened the ceremony by giving his speech to the students, congratulating them on the occasion of the new academic year, and urging them to study hard and be regular in their attendance to graduate effort doctors.
The faculty’s dean, Al-Dahshouri, welcomed new and veteran students and congratulated them on their spectacular October successes. His Excellency addressed the students, encouraging them to put forth adequate effort and perseverance in their studies to be a good nucleus in society that serves and benefits those around them. He also encouraged them to be serious and sincere in word and deed so that God may grant them success and crown their efforts with great success.
Younis, the college’s vice dean for education and student affairs, added after welcoming the students that the college is removing all obstacles for students’ comfort and to facilitate the educational process, and also applies regulations and laws in the event of non-compliance intending to graduate competent doctors, they must adhere to them during the study period, as they will practice an ethical profession after graduation based on providing medical services.
It is worth noting that the ceremony was organized by the Student Union under the supervision of Dr. Hussein Mohamed Hussein, the college’s General Coordinator for Student Activities. It included religious chants, music, and sketches.
Finally, “Louay,” the acting president of the university, “Dahshouri,” the dean of the college, and the vice deans of the Faculty of Medicine, recognized the top ten students in the first and second grades for the previous academic year 24/23, for their excellence and superiority in their studies, wishing everyone success and excellence.
