Prof. Ahmed Ghallab honors the Secretary General of the University for reaching the retirement age, and praises the university’s establishments
Today, Sunday, 16.Feb,2021,Prof. Ahmed Ghallab Mohamed, President of Aswan University, honered the secretary general of the university and the head of of the central administration of the university hospitals Mr.Hussein Abdullatif , in the presence of prof . Ayman Othman, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, prof. Magdy Mohamed Ali, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr. Ashraf Maabad, Executive Director of University Hospitals in Aswan, Dr. Essam Abu Al-Majd, Dr. Mohamed Salah,` and a group of university employees and general directors.
Dr. Ahmed Ghallab, President of Aswan University, confirmed during his speech that Aswan University and Aswan University Hospitals are witnessing of national projects and the volume of work that is taking place in full swing at Aswan University in the campus in Sahary on an area of 400 acres, including the new administrative building , Aswan University Sports Stadium, a group of multi-purpose sports fields, the Olympic swimming pool and beach ball courts.
And the development of the Faculty of Science laboratories, the new garage, the maintenance workshops for university cars, the summer and winter theater, the infrastructure works, and the redrawing and planning of internal roads in the campus in Sahary.
Inaddition to the new branch in new campus in the new Aswan in which the decision to start the study is made, which the university president described as a courageous decision. , which includes 9 buildings of the College of Arts. Law . Dar El Uloom( of Science), Nursing . Medicine . Tourism and Hotels . College of Languages and Translation(Alsun ). Archeology , commerce.
Prof . Ahmed Ghallab added that the university medical constructions and specialized medical centers at the university in New Aswan, which are being implemented, represents a paradigm shift for the medical and health system in southern Upper Egypt.
Dr. Ahmed Ghallab referred to an important role of the Secretary General of the University in these constructions and the role of all employees through institutional work that includes the development of the University Hospital in Aswan by adding about 300 beds.
By adding many operating rooms, several intensive care units and other medical services.the new internal hospital
85% of the l construction project has been implemented.
It consists of 5 floors. The hospital includes 150 beds distributed in general and private internal medicine departments, brain, nerves, heart, tumors, thoracic, dermatological and physiotherapy.
And a project to establish a reception and emergency hospital, which consists of a basement of 4 floors. A central restaurant, dining halls, sterilization rooms, central laundries, and housing for doctors. And the development of the orthopedic, internal and urology departments.Another 150 beds will be located in the surgical, trauma emergency, intensive care, radiology and laboratory departments.And work to end the current expansion projects. Which included the new department for dialysis with a capacity of 56 machines, covering the provision of curative service to patients during the current period.
At the end of the ceremony, the university president, prof . Ahmed Ghaleb, presented the university shield to the Secretary-General, in appreciation of his efforts during his work at the university and his dedication to his job duties. The attendees took memorial photos at the end of the ceremony.
