Within the framework of the directives of Prof.Ayman Mahmoud Othman-Aswan University President, on following the health care at Aswan University Hospitals, Prof.Loay Saad Eddin Nusrat-Vice-University President For Education and Student Affairs visited the new internal disease hospital, Dr. Ashraf Maebad-Executive Manager of Aswan University Hospitals accompanied him.
”Louay” Vice-University President confirmed that we work to provide a good medical service for the patients of Aswan governorate and Upper Egypt governorates through the following and surprising visits to Aswan University Hospitals. Where the day before yesterday, on Saturday corresponding to the 15th of current October, the new Internal Disease Hospital which includes 150 beds was visited to serve patients in various medical specializations. The development that the health system witnesses at Aswan University Hospital come within the framework of the state’s interest in the health care of the citizen in Upper Egypt.
The visit included a number of the hospital’s departments, intensive care rooms, and lectures halls of the students of the Faculty of Medicine which have been equipped with seats, lights, air conditioners, projectors in computers, and smart boards; plus the hall can accommodate 86 students and connected with high-speed internet, moreover and for the first time at Aswan University it has been linked three halls which their capacity is 86 students with three big screens in order to a lecturer can explain once to the three studying halls that include big batches.
His Excellency met with the nursing staff and a number of patients to know the most important obstacles and work to solve them, also checked the new room to operate the cardiac catheterization device in terms of the infrastructure and the electrical and the medical devices, etc. Where the cost of the new cardiac catheterization device is nearly 10 million pounds to serve heart disease patients.
In addition to Prof.Muhammed Zaki Al-Dahshoury-Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of Aswan University Hospitals Administration-added that the internal disease hospital is considered a new medical edifice to serve the sons of Aswan governorate in light of the existence of the Faculty of Medicine which is considered an academic scientific edifice to raise with the medical system inside Aswan governorate, where the internal disease hospital is formed of 5 floors include 150 beds from them 58 beds for the intensive care equipped with 95 respiratory devices, and the rest of them are distributed on the departments of the general and particular internal disease, brain, nerves, heart, tumors, dermatology, chest and natural therapy.
”Maebad”, Executive Manager of Aswan University Hospitals, explained that Aswan University Hospitals witnessed a remarkable development that was never witnessed before and this is for providing service to the patients of Aswan governorate and Upper Egypt. Pointing out that the internal disease hospital represents a true breakthrough in the medical system in Aswan governorate, in light of the political leadership’s interest in the health of the citizen, despite the increase in cases of patients and accidents in the emergency and reception department, the university hospital is still working with all its medical capacity to serve patients in order to provide a better health system in the upper level, pointing to the need for concerted efforts to raise awareness among patients and their families.
