In a new achievement that adds to the continued success of Aswan University Hospitals, the Medical Training Center at the university hospitals has announced obtaining both international and local accreditation for the Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) training programs. The accreditation was granted in cooperation with the Egyptian College of Critical Care Physicians(ECCCP), reflecting the distinguished medical and educational standards achieved by the university in various specialties.

This accomplishment was achieved under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Zaki El-Dashoury, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine; Prof. Ramadan Ghaleb, Director of the Internal Medicine Hospital; and Dr. Omar Alam, Director of the Surgery Hospital, and under the supervision of Dr. Mohamed Saeed, Director of the Training Center and Administrative Supervisor of the Anesthesiology Department at Aswan University Hospitals.

The accreditation comes within the framework of the university’s strategy to advance the healthcare system and enhance the efficiency of medical personnel in accordance with the latest international standards, thereby contributing to improving the quality of healthcare services provided to the people of Upper Egypt.

This achievement represents a significant qualitative leap in medical training within the governorate, as it enables the organization of internationally accredited training courses at Aswan University Hospitals. This spares doctors, nurses, and paramedics the burden of traveling outside the governorate to attend such programs, while also strengthening their ability to respond swiftly and accurately to cardiac arrest cases and critical emergencies.

The accredited training programs also provide officially recognized certificates and accredited training hours, which are considered essential requirements for renewing professional licenses and practicing medicine.

Prof. El-Dashoury, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, emphasized that this accreditation reflects the commitment of the faculty and university hospitals to keeping pace with global developments in critical care and emergency medicine. He noted that investing in the development of human resources is a cornerstone for improving the healthcare system and raising the standard of medical services within the governorate.

For his part, Dr. Mohamed Saeed, Director of the Training Center, explained that obtaining the accreditation came after implementing a comprehensive development plan that included upgrading the center’s infrastructure, equipping it with the latest training technologies and smart medical simulation systems, and qualifying a distinguished group of doctors and trainers to obtain international accreditation in specialized training programs.

He added that the center hosted a delegation of experts from the Egyptian College of Critical Care Physicians (ECCCP) to conduct an on-site evaluation. The delegation praised the advanced technical capabilities of the center and its full compliance with internationally approved scientific standards and protocols, qualifying it to become one of the leading specialized medical training centers in Upper Egypt.
