In the context of promoting scientific research and raising the level of research, the Science, Technology, and Innovation Funding Authority, in cooperation with the esteemed university, announces the opening of applications for:
”The second research call for the innovation grants in applied sciences, technology, and manufacturing”
The grants aims to: link scientific research with industry by supporting and promoting applicable technology and industrialization, contributing to improving the social and economic system, and reducing imports by Egypt’s 2030 vision.
The general conditions of the call: Funding the best research proposals for distinguished Egyptian researchers, as it is required that the principal researcher be Egyptian, affiliated with a research body in Egypt, hold a doctorate, and have experience in the research field, in addition to the necessity of having another researcher from the research team He holds a Ph.D.
Deadline: 10-Oct- 2022, at 2:00 pm.
Project implementation period: maximum 2 years.
Financial terms of the call:
-Maximum financing amount: 2.000.000 EGP per project.
-Maximum bonus: 25% (with no more than 400,000 EGP).
-Maximum travel limit for domestic or international travel: 200,000 EGP.
-The maximum share of the entity: is 5% (with no more than 150,000 Egyptian pounds).
-The project budget is allowed to bear the costs of scientific publication, registration of conferences, and organization of workshops.
-Arbitration of research projects submitted to the authority is done on a competitive basis by specialized arbitrators in the scientific field of the submitted projects and by the authority’s rules.
-This is in addition to the other detailed conditions for the call by the authority.
