The activities of the Egyptian Society of Diabetes in Upper Egypt concluded yesterday, Friday, December 30, 2022, in collaboration with the Department of General Internal Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Aswan University, under the auspices of Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman, President of Aswan University, and Prof. Mohamed Zaki El-Dahshoury, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Hala Abdellah Al-Obeidi – Head of the Department of General Internal Medicine, Aswan Medicine, the events of that day discussed all that’s new regarding the diabetes diseases under the elite of professors in this field with the aim of training the young doctors and spreading an awareness culture to prevent and treat patients and opening a field for young people in public work, where they will be trained through workshops in the coming period.
Prof. Mesbah Kamel, President of the Asian Diabetes Society and one of the founders of the Egyptian Society of Diabetes in Upper Egypt, and Dr. Ahmed Faisal, Lecturer of Endocrinology at Sohag University, and Dr. Marwa Ahmed, Aswan Medicine’s Lecturer of General Internal Medicine were among those invited. Attendance is limited to a select group of academic staff, assistants, and doctors from the department.
Mosbah, President of the Asian Diabetes Association and one of the founding members of the Egyptian Diabetes Association in Upper Egypt, praised the importance of such scientific days for the exchange of experiences and information, wishing the attendees to benefit from the valuable medical information provided.
Al-Obeidi, head of the Department of Internal Medicine at Aswan Medicine, thanked and appreciated the attendees and the Egyptian Society team for accepting the invitation to present their distinguished expertise in this field and carry out their responsibility and noble mission of providing information, training, and advice to patients in Aswan and other neighboring governorates.
On the sidelines of the scientific day, Al-Obaidi, the department’s head, honored the deputies in appreciation for their efforts and dedication to work, wishing everyone success and excellence.
