The Scientific Committee of the “Mohamed Rabie Nasser Award for Scientific Research” has extended the application deadline for the award for the year 2024 (seventh session) until October 15th. Dr. Mohamed Rabie, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Delta University for Science and Technology, provides the award in the field of scientific research in support and encouragement of His Excellency’s distinguished researchers, as well as in recognition of their role in serving science and society and contribution to achieving Egypt’s Vision 2030 strategic plan for sustainable development.
It is offered in a variety of fields.
The first award in the medical sciences field will be one hundred and fifty thousand pounds and an appreciation certificate.
The second award in the applied sciences field will be one hundred and fifty thousand pounds and an appreciation certificate.
The third award is in the field of engineering and technology sciences, amounting to one hundred thousand Egyptian pounds and a certificate of appreciation.
The fourth award is in the field of economic and administrative sciences, in the amount of one hundred thousand Egyptian pounds and a certificate of appreciation.
General Conditions:
- The award is dedicated to the citizens of the Arab Republic of Egypt in the Egyptian governmental or non-governmental higher education institutions or research centers.
- The applicant must have distinguished applied scientific production in the service of society and published in indexed international scientific journals or patents with distinguished applications that contribute to supporting presidential initiatives to care for human health, engineering, and technological sciences, and presenting systems and strategies that contribute to the development of the water, energy, and food sectors to contribute to environmental sustainability.
- The candidate must not have received another prize or degree for the same scientific effort from any granting body within five years before the announcement of the award.
- The age must not exceed 45 years for the applicants for the Young Researchers Award. The candidate shall have an innovative scientific production with an effective return and published in international scientific journals or patents during the last five years (2014-2018).
- It is not permitted to apply for two of the stated awards, nor may someone who has received the award in past sessions apply.
