Under the auspice of Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman-Aswan University President, Faculty of Medicine, today on Wednesday corresponding to 4/10/2023, celebrates the golden jubilee of the sixth of October Victory With army and clergy leaders, in the attendance of Prof. Louay Saad Al-Din Nosrat – Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Mohamed Zaki Al-Dahshouri – Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof.Mohamed Mustafa Hussein – Vice President of the Faculty for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and Prof.Magda Farghaly Jabri – Director of the Educational Development Program at the Faculty, amid the military advisor of the governorate, the security and executive leaders, Muslim and Christian clergy, Dr. Ahmed Abdul Sadek-Coordinator of ”Students For Egypt”, and students of the faculty.
The celebration is held at the university’s theatre at the campus-New Aswan City; the performances of the celebration begin with verses from the holy Qur’an, followed by the national anthem; ”Nassarat” Vice- University President for Education and Student Affairs stated that the celebration of the Sixth of October Victory defines students with the vital and strong role of the Armed Forces to face enemy, through this great anniversary we strength loyalty and belonging of students who didn’t witness this war that carried back Egypt’s prestigious in the Arab region.
“Al-Dahshouri,” Dean of the Faculty, provided his speech, in which he welcomed the attendees and students and congratulated them on the golden jubilee of the October 6th victories, a national epic in which the strength of the Egyptian people was revealed, as our armed forces were able to conquer the enemy, inspire all Arabic peoples, unite ranks and support the army, expressing hope that Egypt will stay safe and secure over the years.
The Faculty of Medicine, Aswan University, is keen to send a message of love and support to His Excellency Abdel Fattah El-Sisi – President of the Republic, by commemorating this great day and we extend our thanks and gratitude to every authentic Egyptian soldier and to everyone who participated in this great victory.
During his speech, Sheikh Hanafi Mahmoud Diab, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments in Aswan, discussed the value of the martyr and his status in this world and the hereafter, and that Egypt is a country of security and safety, and this is what was mentioned in the Holy Qur’an in many verses indicating that Egypt is guarded and safe, thanks to God (the Almighty) and thanks to the people of this country. The brave people who sacrificed their dearest lives and their reward is eternal paradise.
Sheikh/Mohamed Abdel Aziz, the former Undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments in Aswan, went on to say that these blessed days combine the remembrance of the glorious October victories and the remembrance of the noble birth of the Prophet, who set the most wonderful examples of sacrifice in supporting religion and preserving the homelands because preserving the sanctities of the homeland is a trust in our necks and an act of worship.
His Excellency in his speech on behalf of the venerable Pontiff Bishop Bishoy – Bishop of Aswan, Father Maximus Tharwat also mentioned what Egypt witnessed after the glorious October victory of a state of self-pride, the return of the dignity of the Egyptian citizen, and the role of our valiant forces in inflicting a major defeat on the enemy. It was up to our generation to finish that tale of hard effort, diligence, and wisdom.
The festival also included artistic renditions of patriotic songs and a musical performance evoking patriotic feelings for our beautiful Egypt. The ceremony was overseen by Dr. Hussein Mohamed Hussein, the Faculty’s General Coordinator of Student Activities, in collaboration with members of the Faculty’s Scientific Association (AMSA Aswan).
The celebration came to its conclusion with the Faculty of Medicine recognizing the contributions of security and community leaders, men in the armed forces, and religious and church symbols of Aswani culture.
