Under the patronage of Aswan University President Prof. Ahmed Ghalab Mohamed, the Dean of the faculty of medicine Prof. Mohamed Zaki El Dahshoury, and the executive manager of Aswan university hospitals Dr. Ashraf Meabed, today corresponding to 10th Dec. 2020 the Scientific Day of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology was held under the supervision of Prof. Abdo Said Ayatallah, professor of obstetrics and gynecology at Sohag University and the scientific supervisor of the department of obstetrics and gynecology at the faculty of medicine, Aswan University, as well as Prof. Mohamed Salah El-Din Fahmy, chairman of the department of gynecology and obstetrics, Aswan university. The meeting was organized by Dr. Mohamed Anan, lecturer of gynecology and obstetrics, and Dr. Amr Shehata, lecturer of obstetrics and gynecology. The Day handled the following lectures:
Dr. Amr Shehata, the lecturer in the department, delivered a lecture entitled Endometrium “The Black Box”
Dr. Mohamed Diaa, the assistant lecturer in the department, delivered a lecture entitled “Ectopic pregnancy evidence base management”
Dr. Ibrahim Arafa, the resident doctor in the department, delivered a lecture entitled “Labor ward and maternal mortality”
The day was attended by a selected group of academic staff, their assistants as well as doctors in the department of obstetrics and gynecology taking into consideration applying all the precautionary measures against COVID-19.
