Thanks to Allah for every blessing
Since the work began in the orthopedics department in 2013 under the management of Aswan University, it has played an important role in treating all types of people in society, despite numerous periods of a shortage of human and scientific resources. We quickly implemented plans to improve the department and expand its surgeries to include new specialties such as pediatric orthopedic surgery, congenital deformities, joint replacement surgery, sports injuries, spine surgery, pelvic fracture surgery, microsurgeries, and minimally invasive surgery. These areas are now being used as research points for doctorate and master’s theses.
| Case | Number of Patients |
| accident and emergency cases | 117.385 |
| outpatient clinic’s cases | 9290 |
| hospitalized | 1798 |
| fractures and emergency operations | 1142 |
| advanced and accurate operations | 5556 |
The orthopedics department strives to improve the educational process, increase clinical skills, promote diagnostic capacities, and enhance examination and assessment methods.
The section aims to advance scientific development, gain accreditation from the Egyptian Fellowship of Orthopaedics, improve infrastructure by increasing capacity and resources, and provide ongoing clinical and research training to prepare physicians to contribute to the field.
