Welcome to General Surgery Department, Faculty of Medicine, Aswan University
Our esteemed department provides a selected group of academic staff, their assistants, specialist, consultant, resident physicians who provide the means of care by using the state-of-the-art methods in diagnosis and treatment around the clock all days of the week to serve Aswan governorate’s and the surrounding governorates’ people. The department has the different surgical specialties; pediatric surgery, tumor surgery, bariatric surgery and others.
It is keen on providing educational policies as training resident doctors from the faculty’s graduates and Egyptian fellowship doctors as well as other training programs under the supervision of a selected group of academic staff.
General surgery department has research aims to promote the scientific research and community service. In this regard, missions and seconding for specialized centers are encouraged by the department.
