From its very beginning, chest diseases department was committed to preparing competent doctors who are capable of distinct medical practice, continuing medical education and competing locally and globally. It was also committed to diagnosing, treating and fighting the common diseases among the people of upper Egypt and the north Sudan.
The department is always keen on participating in enhancing the scientific research and developing the scientific and academic skills of its academic staff in an environment of transparency, justice, self-denial and discrimination which reflects clearly on the spirit of the team work which at last serves the health and security of the people of Upper Egypt.
