Aswan Medicine organizes a medical convoy that includes ten specialties at Kom Ombo Central Hospital

Today, corresponding to 16 February 2020, Faculty of Medicine at Aswan University, in cooperation with members of Parliament at Kom Ombo Center and the Directorate of Health Affairs in Aswan, organized the medical convoy that included ten specialties at Kom Ombo Central Hospital, in attendance of Prof/ Ahmed Ghallab Mohamed – Aswan University President, and Prof/ Mohamed Zaki Al-Dahshoury – Dean of Faculty of Medicine at Aswan University, and Prof / Abdallah Al-Ebaidi – General Director of Aswan University Hospitals, and under the supervision of Prof/ Hisham Hamed Al-Rifai – Vice-Dean of Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environment Development.   Prof/ Ghallab, emphasized the importance of Aswan University’s role towards society as it represents centre of expertise, and pointed out that the university and society have become two sides of the same coin, and the medical convey organized by Aswan University comes within the framework of the political vision of President / Abdel Fattah El-Sisi – President of the Republic_ Where the state cares about the citizen’s health and works to reduce the burden on Aswan people, as he listened to some of the health problems that some patients suffer from and worked to send more than one medical convoy in different specialties. Al-Dahshoury added that the convey included ten different medical specialities which are “General surgery – vascular – pediatrics- dermatology – Orthopedics- Urology – ear, nose and throat – ophthalmology – Neurology and Psychiatry – obstetrics and gynecology). The medical convoys organized by Faculty of Medicine at Aswan University are among the most important positive steps for Aswan community in the various administrative centers by providing distinguished medical services and relieving the suffering of patients’ travel and transportation from remote areas, as well as working to facilitate health services for them.   Al-Rifai_ Vice Dean for Community Service and Environment Development, indicated that these medical convoys are part of a series of educational and service medical convoys organized by Faculty of Medicine and Aswan University Hospital in cooperation with Aswan Health Directorate and Dr/ Ihab Hanafi – Undersecretary of Ministry of Health in Aswan.   On the other hand, Aswan University convoy at Kom Ombo Hospital is a service medical and educational convey. The convoy includes a distinguished group of Physicians, teachers and consultants at Faculty of Medicine at Kom Ombo Hospital in various specialties and also at Aswan University Hospital.
