Under the auspices of Prof. Mohamed Zaki El-Dahshoury – Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, the monthly scientific day of the Urology and Reproductive Surgery Department, Aswan University, was held at noon Friday, June 24, 2022, under the supervision of Prof. Mohamed Mostafa Hussein – Head of the Department of Urology and Reproductive Surgery in Medicine Aswan and Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research Affairs, where the Dean of the Faculty, “Al-Dahshoury”, stressed the importance of development in the educational system, especially the medical system, which begins through the departments to refine young doctors with scientific and research expertise. Dr. Hassan Ali Gad, Lecturer, Urology Department, Aswan, gave a lecture entitled:
«Ultrasound-Guided Prostate Biopsy, Indication, Morbidity and Outcome»
Where the scientific day discussed the following:
-Diagnosis of various prostate diseases using transrectal radiographs.
-Cases that require a prostate biopsy to diagnose prostate tumors.
-Complications of taking a sample from the prostate in cases of tumors.
”Younis” added that the Faculty of Medicine in general and the Department of Urology in particular hold workshops and scientific meetings on a monthly basis to learn about new methods of treatment in the department which leads to the quality of the medical service in the Urology and Reproductive Surgery Department at Aswan University Hospital.
