Aswan University Council Discusses Preparation for First Semester Exams

  Today corresponding to 3rd Jan., Aswan University Council No. (114) was held headed by Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman, Aswan university president, in the presence of Maj. Gen. Ashraf Atteya, Aswan governor, deans of faculties and university president advisors.

  The council was opened by Prof. Ayman Othman congratulating President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi on the New Year. The Council extended thanks and appreciation and best wishes to the political leadership on the occasion of President Sisi’s visit to Aswan which added joy and pleasure to the people of Aswan where His Excellency opened many National projects.

  For his part, Maj. Gen. Ashraf Atteya stressed on the importance of the President’s visit to Aswan governorate, which was decorated to receive his sovereignty.  Aswan has gained many benefits from the visit as for opening new national projects especially implementing the project of  Aswan visual identity, which will turn  Aswan governorate to be one of the most important tourist destinations in the world.    

  Maj. Gen. Ashraf Atteya stressed on the university being a house of expertise in various engineering, medical, scientific and research fields. He added that Aswan is witnessing a great development in infrastructure and roads, such as Al Samad Road, which will be completed within a maximum period of 8 months and many roads are under construction which will restore the governorate’s natural place as the capital of culture, economy and Arab African youth where infrastructure is one of the most important factors attracting investment.

 Prof. Ayman Othman referred to the university’s preparations for the first semester exams according to the timetable approved by the Supreme Council of Universities for the current academic year 2021/2022; On January 13, 2022.  The academic year 2021/2022 began on October 9, and the study was scheduled to continue in the first semester for a period of 14 weeks, the first semester will end on January 13, 2022.  His Excellency stressed on applying precautionary measures such as wearing face masks, keeping social distancing in examination halls, measuring body temperature.

 On the Council’s sidelines, Maj. Gen. Ashraf Atteya, and Prof. Ayman Othman honored Dr. Ahmed Farman, lecturer in the faculty of archeology and the governorate’s tourist advisor , for being honored by the President of the Republic for his efforts in the visual identity project and Dr. Iman Wagdy, chairman of the art education department in the faculty of specific education, for her artistic and creative efforts in drawing artistic paintings at the entrances and streets of the governorate during the visit of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. The students took memorial photos with Maj. Gen.l Ashraf Atteya and Prof. Ayman Othman.
