ENT clinic works daily where it receives 150 patients per day. Emergency department receives over 50 cases after work hours. ENT handles the following cases immediately:
- Difficulty in breathing according to throat cancer where it is treated by tracheotomy.
- Different cases of bleeding either from nose or after tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy.
- Cases that swallowed a foreign object through pharynx or esophagus where it is extracted by upper endoscopy under general anesthetic.
- Receiving cases that swallowed foreign object through where it is extracted by rhinoscope.
- Receiving cases with foreign object in ear where it is extracted by operating microscope.
- It offers a language and speech unit serving about 20 children per day and does fiberoptic laryngeal photography by endoscope to stroke patients who suffer from difficulty in swallowing.
- As for audiology unit, it provides audiometry and tympanometry.
- ENT department performs different operations 2 days a week:
- Diseases and tumors of nose and sinuses.
- Tympanoplasty
- Chorditis tuberose and adenoidectomy by laryngoscopy and microscope.
- Tonsillectomy, Adenoidectomy, Ruptured eardrum, and Myringotomies.
- Neck operations like removing the entire salivary gland and branchial sinus.
