Ear, Nose, and Throat Department Services

ENT clinic works daily where it receives 150 patients per day. Emergency department receives over 50 cases after work hours. ENT handles the following cases immediately:

  • Difficulty in breathing according to throat cancer where it is treated by tracheotomy.

 

  • Different cases of bleeding either from nose or after tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy.
  • Cases that swallowed a foreign object through pharynx or esophagus where it is extracted by upper endoscopy under general anesthetic.

 

  • Receiving cases that swallowed foreign object through where it is extracted by rhinoscope.
  • Receiving cases with foreign object in ear where it is extracted by operating microscope.

 

  • It offers a language and speech unit serving about 20 children per day and does fiberoptic laryngeal photography by endoscope to stroke patients who suffer from difficulty in swallowing.
  • As for audiology unit, it provides audiometry and tympanometry.
  • ENT department performs different operations 2 days a week:

 

  • Diseases and tumors of nose and sinuses.
  • Tympanoplasty
  • Chorditis tuberose and adenoidectomy by laryngoscopy and microscope.

 

  • Tonsillectomy, Adenoidectomy, Ruptured eardrum, and Myringotomies.

 

  • Neck operations like removing the entire salivary gland and branchial sinus.
