With taking all the precautionary and preventive measures against COVID-19, today corresponding to 18th Feb. 2021, the first MD thesis discussion was held in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in the faculty of medicine, Aswan University. The Thesis was submitted by Dr. Hoda Sultan Sharqawy Al-Bakri – assistant lecturer in the department. The thesis was fully accomplished in the biochemistry and molecular biology research lab under the leadership of the dean of the faculty of medicine Prof. Mohamed Zaki Al Dahshouri and the department’s chairman Prof. Abdullah Al-Obaidi.
The MD thesis has the title:
“Genome Expression of Cyclophilin A in Kidney Solenocyte Culture and its Level in Urine as a Biochemical Indicator for the Early Detecting of Diabetic Foot”
The Discussion was held under the supervision of:
Prof. Tahia Hashem Abdel Rahman Selim – professor of medical biochemistry, faculty of medicine, Assiut University
Prof. Mohamed Gamal El-Din Saadi – professor of nephrology, faculty of medicine, Kasr Al-Ainy, Cairo University
Prof. Abdullah Mahmoud Abdullah Al-Obaidi – assistant professor of medical biochemistry, faculty of medicine, Aswan University
Dr. Zainab Abdel-Rahman Mohamed Mohamed – lecturer of molecular biology, department of zoology, faculty of science, Aswan University
The panel of examiners included:

- Prof. Muhammad Anwar Abdel Aziz Hassan – professor of biochemistry and molecular biology and the dean of the faculty of Pharmacy for males, Al-Azhar University, Assiut (external examiner)
The committee praised the researcher as well as thesis and approved it.
