In line with efforts to transfer advanced surgical expertise and enhance the skills of young physicians, and under the patronage of Prof. Loay Saad El-Din Nasrat, President of Aswan University, the Faculty of Medicine at Aswan University had the honor of hosting a workshop on “Men’s Health” on Thursday, April 30, 2026.
The workshop was organized by the Mediterranean Association for Minimally Invasive Urological Surgery, headed by Professor Dr. Ali Abdel-Karim, President of the Association, with the support of Prof. Mohamed Zaki El-Dahshoury, Secretary of the Association and Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Aswan University. The event was also attended by Professor Dr. Mohamed Mostafa Hussein, Head of the Department of Urology and Andrology at Aswan University, and Prof. Ashraf Maabad, Executive Director of Aswan University Hospitals.
The workshop witnessed distinguished scientific participation from leading professors of urology from several universities, including:

Prof. Adel Qarqar, Professor of Urology, Faculty of Medicine, Assiut University

The workshop was coordinated through the remarkable efforts of Dr. Amr Alam El-Din, Director of the Surgical Hospital and Lecturer of Urology at the Faculty of Medicine, Aswan University. The program included several penile implant surgeries for the treatment of erectile dysfunction, in addition to (practical hands-on surgical) training sessions conducted inside the operating theater.
Prof. El-Dahshoury expressed his sincere appreciation to the Association for its pioneering role in organizing training workshops across Egypt and for its continuous support in raising scientific and professional standards in various urological surgery specialties. He emphasized that such initiatives represent an ideal model for training young doctors, developing their clinical skills, and ultimately ensuring the highest quality of healthcare services for patients.
