As part of the community outreach efforts of the Student Union of the Faculty of Medicine at Aswan University, and under the patronage of Prof. Loai Saad El-Din Nusrat, President of Aswan University, and Prof. Mohamed Zaki El-Dashoury, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Mohamed Mostafa Hussein, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and Professor Dr. Ashraf Maabad, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, the “Mohamed Khairy Medical Caravan” was launched on campus on Sunday, December 28, 2025.
The caravan was organized by the Student Union of the Faculty of Medicine, headed by student Mahmoud El-Sayed, President of the Union, and student Waad Hassan, Vice President, with the participation of Dr. Hussein Mohamed Hussein, Coordinator of Student Activities at the Faculty of Medicine. The initiative was held as a charitable act in memory of the late student Mohamed Khairy (may God have mercy on him).
The medical caravan provided a range of free health services, including:
-Blood pressure measurement.
-Blood sugar measurement.
-Health awareness sessions and medical guidance.
The activities covered the university campuses in Sahari and New Aswan City, targeting students, employees, and faculty members, with the aim of promoting health awareness and early detection of health conditions. The organizers expressed their hope that this initiative would be accepted as an ongoing charity in memory of their late colleague and placed in the balance of his good deeds.
